The Committee of Adjustment recently approved the use of land to the south of the Meadowvale GO station for extended parking. The C of A at that time agreed to impose conditions which I requested. These included a 5 year term to allow GO to work on funding for a parking structure and employment uses and the preservation of two 150-year old Burr Oak trees. The proposed plan will move the buses to the area by the water tower and will add two additional entrances/exits to the station. There will be a total of 805 parking spaces created by the expansion. GO had hoped to have construction completed by this fall but there has been a recent delay and it looks as if it may not be done until Spring, 2002.
