Upcoming Meetings and Events:
Reimagining the Mall Project
As part of City Planning Strategies’ Reimagining the Mall project, the city is conducting a walkability audit of the Meadowvale Town Centre. The audit will be led by Peel Health staff, with City planning staff in attendance. We will walk as a group into the neighbourhood and around the mall, stopping at certain locations to observe and make notes. Once we arrive back at the community centre, we will have a facilitated discussion in small groups, with a final large group discussion and recommendations at the end. I was joined by a number of residents on October 2 at the Meadowvale Community Centre. The group walked into the neighbourhood in and around the mall to note how walkable and accessible it is. After the tour, we broke into small group discussions back at the community centre to talk about our observations and suggestions.
