Upcoming Meetings and Events

We Belong: Justice for All  – hosted by Moyo Health + Community Services (formerly Peel HIV/AIDS Network)

The theme of this year’s breakfast, We Belong: Justice for All, will explore the role we can all play in ensuring the fundamental rights of our 2SLGBTQ+ neighbours to exist equitably in our community. Building on the tremendous success of last year’s We Belong: Voices of Youth event, we will discuss the day’s significance in our communities with the aim of generating forward momentum in challenging homophobia, transphobia, biphobia, and other barriers to inclusion in corporate, political, social, cultural, religious, and recreational spheres. As our first fundraiser of the year, We Belong: Justice for All will directly support vital programming that will empower and uplift all members of our community. More details about the event are available at https://www.webelonginpeel.com/.

Supporting a New Track at John Fraser Secondary School

I am pleased to announce that I am contributing special Ward 9 infrastructure funds toward a new track to be built at John Fraser Secondary School by the Peel District School Board.
This track will be used by the students from many schools during school hours and will be available for the community to use after hours.  Encouraging healthy communities is a priority and a good use for the funds.
Please watch for news of the official unveiling.

To list your event on the Ward 9 web site send the information in text and pdf formats and/or link to website to pat.saito@mississauga.
