Update RE: Meadowvale Neighbourhood Character Study
The City is undertaking a study to assess the character of the townhouse, apartment, and retail areas in the Meadowvale. The purpose of the study is to develop a policy framework that will guide future growth and compatible development in the area. Information on the project is available online. Staff are hosting a third community meeting on the project on Thursday, Feb 28th, 2019 from 6 – 8:30 pm at West Credit Secondary School, 6325 Montevideo Rd (Cafeteria). Registration for the event is now open.
Coldest Night of the Year
On the evening of February 23, 2019 I will be joining hundreds of residents to walk on the Coldest Night of the Year to raise funds for the Dam Youth Drop In and prevent homelessness in our community. This is a family-friendly, fun winter fundraising event for Mississauga’s homeless, hungry and hurting. The walk begins and ends at the Meadowvale Community Centre & Library, 6655 Glen Erin Dr., where walkers will register, turn in the results of their fundraising efforts, and return at the end of the evening for a warm celebration meal. Watch for details closer to the date on how to join my team and/or how to donate.

Supporting a New Track at John Fraser Secondary School
I am pleased to announce that I am contributing special Ward 9 infrastructure funds toward a new track to be built at John Fraser Secondary School by the Peel District School Board.
This track will be used by the students from many schools during school hours and will be available for the community to use after hours. Encouraging healthy communities is a priority and a good use for the funds.
Please watch for news of the official unveiling.
To list your event on the Ward 9 web site send the information in text and pdf formats and/or link to website to pat.saito@mississauga.
