One of my key priorities as Ward Councillor has been and continues to be concern for the youth of our community.  Each year, I support the local youth drop in, The Dam, to raise funds through The Coldest Night of the Year walk. The Coldest Night of the Year consists of 2, 5 or 10K walks through the community on Saturday February 24, 2018 from 4 p.m. – 8 p.m. starting and ending at the Meadowvale Community Centre.  I have a team called Pat’s Plodders and I invite you and your organization to support this worthy cause and join me.  You can help in several ways.  I am asking you to share the information with your mailing lists and try to encourage members to form a team, raise funds and walk with us.  You can walk yourself and create your own team or join my team.  Or you can support through donations to an existing team.  Money raised goes to help, The Dam provide programs for the youth of our community.  They are well known for the excellent services they provide and have been successful in helping thousands of young people realize their full potential.

This is the 6th year that the Dam has participated in the “Coldest Night of the Year” walk. The walk provides participants an opportunity to experience a little of the challenges faced by those experiencing homelessness by walking for a few hours on a cold winter night.  I hope you will be able to join us in supporting our young people.  Click here to register your own team, to volunteer or to donate or join my team – Pat’s Plodders.  On behalf of The Dam and the youth of our community, thank you in advance for your support and contribution.
