December 1 2025
Dear Neighbours,
As we welcome the final month of the year, I want to take a moment to reflect on the many meaningful events and engagements I was grateful to take part in throughout November. It was a busy and rewarding month, beginning with the Safe City Justice Lunch, where we highlighted the accomplishments of Peel Regional Police and Safe City partners and discussed new strategies to keep our community safe informed.
I enjoyed visiting the Eden United Church Christmas Bazaar—always a wonderful place to find unique gifts and delicious treats. If you haven’t been, be sure to keep an eye out for it next year! I was also honoured to attend the City of Mississauga Civic Recognition Awards, celebrating the exceptional contributions of our residents.
November brought so many fun moments, including taking part in Chess Fest at the Meadowvale Community Centre—where I even won a friendly tournament with Brampton Councillor Rod Power. Later that evening, I joined the community at Light Up The Square for the tree lighting and Santa Claus Parade. The energy, music and smiles made it a truly spectacular night.
I also had the privilege of supporting the Mississauga Food Bank’s holiday drive at Loblaws in Meadowvale, alongside many dedicated volunteers- and wrapped up the month at the Britannia Glen Co-op Christmas Bazaar.
As December unfolds, I look forward to spending more time with many of you, including at my upcoming Budget Town Hall at the Meadowvale Community Centre—details are included below. It continues to be a pleasure serving this community. As my team and I wind down the year, we are also hard at work planning for 2026. We hear you, we see you and we remain committed to amplifying your voices.
Best,
Councillor Martin Reid
